Non-Traditional Alphabets
This assignment provides students with an opportunity to engage with non-traditional materials in which to explore the creation of letterforms. The project requires that students develop a design method that can be uniformly applied to an entire 26-character alphabet.
Students have used a variety of materials and mediums to create their letters including red licorice, Q-Tips, and powdered Kool-Aid mix to list just a few.
